Tcl'2013 Registration

We are pleased to announce the 20th Annual Tcl/Tk conference (Tcl'2013), sponsored by The Tcl Association, with help from:
Noumena Corporation , Digital Smarties , SR Technology, Buonacorsi Foundation, Mentor Graphics, and ActiveState .

Learn from the experts and share your knowledge. The annual Tcl/Tk conference is the best opportunity to talk with experts and peers, cross-examine the Tcl/Tk core team, learn about what's coming and how to use what's here.

Conference Location

The conference will be held at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA , with rooms at US$159/night from Sunday (9/22) -> Thur (9/26).

If you are coming early or staying late, the rates will be
Thursday (9/19) : $159
Fri/Sat (9/20-21) : $209
Fri/Sat (9/27-28) : $209

These rooms will be released to the general public after August 19, so be sure to reserve your room early.

Conference Registration Information

All prices are US$.

Technical Sessions (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) registration includes:

• Access to all conference technical sessions
• Access to evening BOFs and community meetings
• One set of proceedings on CD
• Breakfast and morning and evening snack breaks

Each tutorial is one half-day session (3 hours instruction time + one break). Tutorials have limited space. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tutorial Sessions (Monday, Tuesday) registration includes:

• Access to all registered tutorial sessions
• Complete course handouts
• Snack break during the tutorial

Extra Proceedings (CD-based)	$5

Walk-in registration: Add $100 to your total fees when registering on-site.

Tutorial Pricing

Special Discounts
Full Time Student	Attending the Technical Sessions is free for students, with proof of status, a copy of your student ID and class schedule. Technical Sessions plus 3 Meals is $50.00.
Presenters	Deduct $100 from your total fees if you are presenting a paper

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel your registration, please email tclconference@googlegroups.com. Registration fees for cancellations received before July 1st will be refunded after a $100 processing charge has been deducted.

Transportation

Air

New Orleans is served by Louis Armstrong International (MSY), as well as several private pilot/charter strips.

Ground

New Orleans is served by Greyhound and Amtrak.

Local

It will not be necessary to rent a car for the duration of the conference. There is no curb side parking in the French Quarter (the area where the hotel is). Parking at the hotel is $27/day (in-and-out valet)/

You can reach the Bourbon Orleans from the airport by Taxi ($26 one way) or Airport Shuttle ($26 round trip).

Once you reach the hotel, there are many fine restaurants, microbrew pubs, jazz and folk clubs, etc within a short walk or a short cab ride puts hundreds more within you reach.
